Benjamin Hollo won the 2026 Kurt Vonnegut Speculative Fiction Prize and the 2025 River Styx Prize in Fiction. His work has also placed as an honourable mention in the 2026 Kurt Vonnegut Speculative Fiction Prize, as well as in the semi-final rounds of the 2026 American Literary Review Fiction Contest and the 2024 University of New Orleans Press Publishing Lab Prize. He studied creative writing at Humber College and the University of British Columbia, and he holds a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Tibetan Buddhist literature.
He publishes academic work under the name Benjamin Wood (link to academic website).
